Canon Copier Pc-940 – 13 Cpm Personal Copier

With copy machine technology constantly improving, stand alone personal copiers have gone from office machines to home and desktop conveniences. The Canon Copier PC-940 offers a large array of copy only features with simple, user friendly controls at a price more affordable than high end multifunctional units. 13 copies per minute copy speeds for letter sized paper, and, falling not behind, a swift eleven copies per minute for legal sized paper mean the Canon Copier PC-940 keeps the pace with many of the smaller units we see today. Canon’s RAPID fusing system eliminates slow, tiresome warm up times and delivers quality copies instantly the moment the “on” button is pushed, making the PC-940 ready to go virtually right out of the box, with a time to first copy of only ten seconds.

Automatic exposure that is adjustable makes clean copies easy for any novice user wishing to make a quick copy, and a manual override mode for custom exposure adjustments is also available for fine tuning, and total control. A photo mode is specifically designed to make exposure adjustments for the half tones found in images as opposed to solid text, which helps to convert even color images to high quality black and white reproductions. Lastly, a toner save mode reduces overall exposure to reduce toner usage, and cost per page.

Canon’s patented and popular single cartridge system keeps toner yields high, with up to 4000 copies per cartridge on the Canon Copier PC-940, and also a hassle free replacement process, perfect for home users that demand a maintenance free product. An implemented stationary platen glass also means that the copy board itself does not move, which helps to keep the overall size and footprint to a minimum. With dimensions of 19 5/8″ x 17 5/8″ x 11 3/4″, and a total curb weight of only forty two and a half pounds (including cartridge, without paper), the unit is easily storable in a small workspace or even on a desk.

Keep in mind, however, that additional storage space is required for opening the flip up lid to access the copy glass, and that this also allows for not only standard sized paper input sources, but also three dimensional object, most commonly books and magazines.

Paper handling is very respectable for a personal copier, boasting a convenient, front loading paper tray with a storage capacity of 250 total sheets. An additional muli purpose slot is also included for added versatility. Though, it is has no storage capacity and therefore requires single sheet, hand fed operations of various media such as transparencies, envelopes, and greeting cards.
