Xerox Phaser 8200 21.02 error?

I have a Xerox Phaser 8200 that is giving a 21.02 Printhead NVRAM no response therm OK error. According to the service manual, you check the connections to the printhead or replace the printhead. The connections are good and tight and I have replaced the printhead twice now, one was refurbished, the other was from Xerox and both give the same error. It is using Xerox OEM ink for the 8200 and no other. I have also replaced the power control board, which the ribbon cable to the printhead connects to and it still does the same thing. Any ideas of where to go from here? Replacing the printer is not an option.

It sounds like you’ve done a good job so far, and 2 printheads w/NVRAM shouldn’t both be bad. Make sure to reseat the main board and check connection/wiring between it and the power control board. Check carefully for any damaged connectors or cables. Otherwise I’d say replace the ribbon cable to the printhead as it may be damaged in a way you can’t see and you’ve covered everything else.
