Should the ‘Dream Team’ monicker/label/tag for USA Basketball Men’s Senior basketball teams be retired?

There is and will only be 1 USA Basketball team that deserve to be called ‘Dream Team’. The 1992 Barcelona Olympics Dream Team with Jordan, Magic, Bird, Barkley, Drexler, Ewing, K.Malone, Stockton, D.Robinson, Pippen, Mullin (and Laettner..wtf?!?!). The Original. No one else. Not even the ‘Dream Team incarnations’ that followed. As proven by their performance in the 2002 Indianapolis World Championships, the 2004 Athens Olympics and the more recent 2006 Japan World Championships. LeBron, Carmelo, Wade, Bosh, Amare, D.Howard and C.Paul are great and all but they still wouldn’t compare to those guys. I propose that USA Basketball stop labeling all their teams as Dream Teams. They do not deserve to be called as such. What do you think?

I would say there is only one Dream Team, the 1992 USA Basketball Team in Barcelona, and the rest is just Team USA. That’s the best basketball team ever assembled that includes the “Holy Trinity” of NBA, Bird-Magic-MJ. The greatest players and icons in their respective positions. And don’t forget what Chuck Daly said about this team: “It’s like having Elvis and The Beatles in one stage!”. That’s awsome!
