Transcriber Recorder

Where can I borrow or buy a transcriber and a recorder for recording discussions on high streets?

@classics: it is for recording a discussion in one room. Which one of the two do you think is best?

No standalone hardware transcribes I know of. You can record using any audio recorder, then transcribe with software running on a PC, or by having a person transcribe.

Now it is ambiguous if you want to get such hardware/software from High Street or use it to record conversations there.
